The darkness does not chase me,
I chase the darkness to my last breath;
In the shadows I hunt for danger,
I chase the things that could cause my death.
People may look at me strange,
I tell the truth as it is, I’m certainly not a liar;
I’m attracted to things that are no good for me,
I’m the black sheep, who loves to play with fire.
I love the adrenaline that pumps through my veins,
The excitement is what makes me thrive;
It’s only when I dance with death real close,
that’s the moment I feel most alive.
I yearn for my heart to be broken and shattered,
The embrace of misery is always on my brain;
Beat me, cut me, rip me apart, let the blood gush out,
I Continue to breath so that I may feel my pain.
The scars on my body I wear like amour,
To show you a better way, that is the goal;
Life offered me the brilliant light of the world,
But that is just what shattered and twisted my soul.
Now I am the dark prince in his underworld,
A savior in search of those souls that have died;
To guide you in the shadows of the moonlight,
From me the demons tremble, then run and hide.
From the darkness I hail, offering you truth, not deception,
I’m that incredible contradiction like you’ve never known;
They put a crown on my head, emperor of the underworld,
But I Rule over Darkness and Light, as I sit upon my throne.
