We go through life thinking things are fine,
Got friends all around and someone at your side;
Only years can teach you, life is a bumpy ride,
Everybody you have around you, have things to hide.

In time, your friends will betray you,
in a behind your back type scheme,
And that special love you think you have,
Will turn out to be a figment, of your dreams.

You have to realize, you’re on your own,
You came into this world helpless and alone;
Things haven’t changed just because you’re grown,
Because when you die, you die alone!

I‘m not being negative, or depressed,
I think there are things that should be addressed;
Years have truly taught me, and I can attest,
Life is like an out of control stress test.

It’s hard to know what to do I confess,
But don’t Give up, sit down or Live being stressed;
Realize you’ re alive & have things to be blessed,
Stand up, press forward and give your very best.

You have to be happy with who you are,
Not base your happiness on someone else;
If you put your faith in others and love,
Your heart will surely melt.

It’s best to Believe in yourself,
Not become part of life’s hypnotizing trap;
Grab hold of your destiny with both hands,
Don’t expect it to fall into your lap!

Don’t feel sorry if you think your life is blown,
Just because they have strayed, and you’re on your own;
Your destiny is not already written in stone,
There are times when we, must stand alone.

What I’m saying is, life has no guarantees,
And not everyone can you actually please;
Don’t expect to get the honey, without getting stung by the bees,
Life can be what you make of it, or at least that’s what I see.
